I've had bilateral tinnitus for decades now and there is currently nothing that can be done about it.  There is some reseach being done into using a sort of noise cancelling technology where you use a hearing aid type device with a competing tone/noise that cancels out the one in your head, but it hasn't been widely used as of yet.  The only "good' thing about it is it's an automatic 10% from the VA.  The best advice I can give has already been said, you will sooner or later need to find a way to just get use to it.  Easier said than done I know, but, unfortunately, that doesn't change the true and current reality of the situation.  I'm sorry for your unpleasentness, and good luck!
