It is based off of the year of manufacture. I don't remember the exact years and weights, but all 28-1 models after 2009 are rated at 700lbs. The previous years there is a couple of different weights until prior to 2003 it is 350 or 400 lbs. I have a email from Ferno with the info I can post next week.
