Should pilots give 2 week notice, when EMS companies give zero days of notice when shutting down bases? Should we return the favor? Honestly I don't know why its a thing in this industry. |

All depends? Do they offer you another work location? If that is not an option, do they continue to pay you for two more weeks? |

"Should pilots give 2 weeks notice..." 2 week notice is the responsible thing to do. “Two wrongs don't make a right, but they make a good excuse.”― Thomas Szasz Your employer may be a jerk, but you shouldn't be- you're a "professional", right?

Been in HAA for 20 years and have seen a few bases close in that time. At each closure, the pilots have been retained for at least a month after closure with no obligations to work elsewhere. |

Most people know or should know that base closings happen and that's part of the deal. If you don't give 2 weeks notice you might be placed on the company's "not rehirable". Will they let your next potential employer know that? Try it and see. |

Again then don't give two weeks. Then you may burn a bridge up to you.

on what you agreed to from the get-go of employment. I gave two months to allow them time to find a replacement. They totally squandered that so the operation went down to 3 pilots for almost a year. |
