Anyone know who the vendor will be for the Phoenix Children’s flight program? 

Nor are in talks for a flight program anytime soon. Native Air does have an agreement with them for all their air transports out of the Avondale and arrowhead campus and soon to be mercy Gilbert campus.

Where did you hear they are starting a flight program?

While we were dropping off a patient we had it mentioned to us by a department head (sorry I know its crappy not to give a name) who said how excited they were that Children's was starting up their own program. I specifically asked where the helicopter was coming from and was told they were looking at options and then they hushed up pretty quick. I probably should have been a little more subtle in my questioning.

I was surprised when I heard it so just figured I'd see if anyone had heard anything.

honestly running this program on a single engine Astar over the mountainous terrain is dumb...PHI didn't get it and used to have a EC 135. They got rid of it when it was at Sky Harbor years ago...said the heat didn't work with it...typical managers thinking they know everything...Anyway, I hope they do get their own program and put a S76 out there...would be a good bird for those long legs instead of a Astar..Don't think MTC will bid on it unless they do with a EC 145 or Newer 135 which they might...AMC doesn't have anything with power anymore...and maybe Metro.  PHI S76 are ragged and they ran out of 145/135 from the GOM side to give them...

I’ve heard this story many times for many years. I’ll believe it when I see it. They have a ground ambo that is coming online in the next week or two. Don’t think a helicopter is coming anytime soon. 

I feel like I've been hearing that PCH was starting a flight team for a couple years now. I'll believe it when I see it.
