Hired three ex-airline pilots. All of them said HAA was far more work than they envisioned, that they were actually having todo everything themselves, and to a man hated scene calls, particularly at night.
Helicopter pilots are no more lacking in brains and judgement than any other pilot.
Flying for the airlines is pretty much a scripted and highly supported activity (not to mention it pays well) that requires less individual initiative than flying helicopters but the systems are a bit challenging at times. |

Where do you get your info from, Just Helicopters? Just landed and shut down the freeway the other day for a scene call. Shut it down for over an hour while medcrew did CPR on one of the victims. |
