Geisinger wants to rule the world. They tried this before and failed. Same goes for their entry into NJ.

Geisinger is basically being purchased by Kaiser Permanente and will form a new venture called "Risant Health".  My bet is that under the Kaiser leadership, Geisinger will farm out Life Flight to a private vendor either as a co-branded CBS base or maybe an ADM model.  The Life Flight program costs Geisinger a pretty penny and Im not sure their downstream in-patient revenues actually justify keeping it a system owned / managed program.

They (Gerry) over-expanded without correctly assessing staffing. Consequently they always have aircraft with no crew. Any bean-counter can see the revenue loss. This acquisition isn't going to go well for Life Flight.
