Mechanic pay in Hawaii varies depending on factors such as experience, location, and employer.

On average, mechanics in Hawaii earn around $50,000 to $60,000 per year.

However, wages can range from $40,000 to over $70,000 annually, with additional benefits and bonuses often included.

#1) TOO EXPENSIVE

#2) the islands tend to shrink very quickly creating mental problems

#3) racial hatred of EVERYONE there is insane

#4) the locals have a mindset like nowhere else (idiots)

#5) free range chickens everywhere and if you think crowing all night is fun (it ain't)

#6) tourist EVERYWHERE

#7)traffic jams constantly

#8) crazy azz weirdo trust fund babies and real estate agents crowd at every bar

#9) gives true meaning of "nice place to visit but wouldn't want to live there"

#10) Arrogance and egoism mixed with hippie, fruitcakes, Karen's and international criminal types

Interviewed on a whim at the Maui heliport with multiple carriers while on vacation. 20+ years experience at the time, and I had a place to stay lined up. All were interested in hiring, but no one would talk serious #s. I suspect the pay is shiat...

That ramp has Air Maui, Maverick, Sunshine, Blue Hawaiian. Mostly just staffed by hired DO, CP, DOM Line pilots , line mechanics etc.
All great positions for managing day to day operations but not the folks that greenlight any hiring or offers.
Pay is allright. Similar to Mainland. Expensive to live.
