We have to do what we need to do to get ahead. Dipping "in" for a 0.1 or 0.2 is not a big deal when there's no approach procedures around and I'm below the IFR airways. |

once upon a time there was a Russian pilot flying an R44 and he filmed himself covering instruments and flying into the clouds and making some turns blah blah blah.... Basically his attitude is the same... not a big deal. Fast forward to him having a CFIT accident with passengers on board. All dead. did not matter until his arrogance murdered others. If you think IFR is about popping into the clouds here and there for the benifit of your log book .... you will hurt people and destroy machines. |

I disagree... Pretty sure he or she has dune a bunch of stupid stuff flying and is looking for reasurance from the masses to validate the mindset that its not a big deal. For the older peeps, its not the first time we have seen it. If he makes it past and interview and into training i would bet he would wash out in training. |
