Flying between 500-1000ft agl is the safest altitude for helicopters. Pilots who say otherwise are deep-state liberal actors who want to reduce noise signature over big cities.
I'm sure you can explain that and have facts to support your position?
Personally, I believe you're safer higher than 1000' agl. Higher means extended glide after a power failure to more possible safe landing sites. And you'll see more from a higher cruise. Five times as high is five times more area visible and five times more time to make your intended point of landing.
The higher you cruise the fewer weekend pilots you will have to see and avoid. And- you will have to see and avoid weekend pilots. They're too busy trying to maintain control of their aircraft to look outside, especially in any part of their traffic pattern and approach to landing. |

at what point do you suggest descending in order to land at said "weekend pilot's" airport? My God, in my 40+ years of flying, I did not ever realize that traffic patterns were so crowded as to be extra dangerous. /sarc
Should I plan for a vertical autorotation directly to my parking spot? |

like you enjoy answering to noise complaints, which believe it or not, can really go places you don't want to deal with - mostly as a matter of annoyance. |

Hit a couple ducks and you might start to consider altitude as a friend |

Have a brain. One thousand feet gives you how many seconds to autorotate to the ground at a decent rate of 1500 feet per minute? Flare needs about 100 feet. You have 900 feet to make all of the decisions as a pilot. its up to you how low you want to fly, but I rather have little more time to enter auto and stbalize the glide then avoid populated area.

If you fly a bit low and slow, wires should/might show. 3 strand will be seen upon blue/Grey from above the skylight. |
