The bird was determined not to have had its lights on.  Unknown if the helicoper did...

So what about the bell 206 in Oklahoma where they hit a bird but it did no damage to the aircraft.  

But the pilot panicked went full aft cyclic and chop the tail boom off.  Amazing people still do that stuff in semi rigid underslung helicopters training must be low.
