Got to say, USAA has really gone to sh.t these days.  Got a credit or debit card fraud dispute.  Don't count on USAA to help out and investigate.  Apparently, not anymore. I guess the old saying 'Buyer beware' really is the case when using a card from them.  Maybe the new saying should be 'Card user beware'!

The subscriber savings account money went to BLM,  how could they think about giving donating my money away ?  Waine Peacuck thinks like Mr. Biden.  ESG is alive @ usaa.  I moved to progressive and use a local bank.  I've been away from usaa for five years now and don't miss them one bit.  I haven't looked back until you're comment "at its worst these days"  I have to say, I agree with you.

I dropped USAA right after they donated $50,000,000.00 to BLM....

USAA tripled my auto insurance when my son received his drivers license and bought a used Silverado.  We switched to Progressive and are impressed with their prices and customer service.  Then out of the blue USAA cancelled my credit card because I wasn't using it often enough.  W T F!!

I've never understood why people go to USAA anyway... Yeah they "Support the troops" blah blah, but have you ever actually compaired their rates to other places? You can get way better rates and account deals elsewhere.

Because back in the '70s, USAA was an insurance company for all officers in the military.  And as Vietnam was winding down, a lot of officers were in and coming out of the services.  It was run by real military officers, and provided all sorts of services worldwide.  There was a retirement community developed in San Antonio. Not sure what ever happened to that.  As time went on, USAA started taking NCO's, and then all enlisted, and all family members.  The thing just grew and grew, started farming out different insurance products to other 'partners'.
Been with them for 50 yrs, and they are providing me with the lowest rates on all of my insurance, other than a motorcoach.  But it still pi..es me off the way the company has become.

Fully agree ....raised my auto rates 30% over 2 years. Love the company website on MR Pigeon Peacock... How he is passionate about competitive sailboat racing off the New England coast... Cannot think of a better example of a CEO who is completely disconnected from his customer base

Not sure why I still bank with them other than no complaints in that department. For car/home I switched to Alfa years ago. WAY better rates and agents are nearby to handle any issues in person (and always do a yearly follow-up to see if anything needs adjusting). Each teen added to the policy was only $100 more per month, male or female. Most people are shocked when I tell them that. Great service. Roof replaced after hail storm and was hassle free. Surprised USAA charges international fee when traveling overseas since they support the military. I use a different bank/credit card when overseas.

The reduction in services has been disappointing.  Used their car buying service more than once and got great deals.

isolated to USAA.  Biggest PITA I had was with a luxury car companies' card.  If I get unreasonable pushback I just go to the regulators and let them beat themselves up - takes a long time but at least I don't have the aggravation.

I agree with this as well. They never get your back when you are the victim of fraud. I stopped using them.
