This one is a real head scratcher. Who buys an aircraft that's never flown? |

It's vaporware and I doubt it will ever get to market. If it does, it'll be triple the price point they're aiming for. No way they develop and sell that thing for $900,000. |

If one could produce a turbine single at that price with those specs, Bell, Robinson, Airbus & Leonardo would have been all over it for years.
There are rules of physics and economics that do not bend for anyone. After that there is the CAA/FAA
R-66 is about $950K.
Hill is going to cost less and cruise faster, further with a new design engine, 260 gals of fuel and a standard 2 axis autopilot?
If he can get it certified, he wil lose money on every one he sells at that price. |

Hill is designing an experimental category aircraft, so you can't use a standard category aircraft like the R66 as a cost comparison.
That would be like comparing the Hummingbird (S-52 replica), an experimental 'home-build' kit to the R44. The Hummingbird costs about $350k for the kit, engine and assembly while a new R44 is closer to $600k. |

There aren't 1000 buyers, there are 1000 people selling their spot in line. |

There's not 1000 buyers. There's 1000 people trying to sell their place in line and pocket $50-100K |

Operators will put minimun down to reserve a line number, then sell the number for a higher price when production happens. |

This is a pipe dream. 1000 people are going to lose $. I see no provision for product liability. First law suit for $100,000,000 and the party is over. |
