The article doesn't really cite any science, other than a general statement from someone with a university affiliation.   Where is the study??   All I see is someone pushing to have LED lights installed by an LED advocate and an LED or-else federal administration chief.

"lights on below 10,000 feet" was implemented back in the 70s bird strikes plummeted.

believe it, leave your lights off.  You'll probably save some fuel by not having to produce the power to run the bulbs.

that would be an awesome aidmor: there were so so many birds I landed in a field. there was nothing else I could do. patient transported the rest of the way by ground.
