The layoffs are coming out of management. No union members are part of the layoff. UPS is just trimming some of the fat out of thier management team.
So for; Less do nothing managers, More workers' benefits, Vote union. |

Next time you think you deserve a step increase and expanded benefit package, go to your CP/HR and negotiate your own deal for wage, retirement, medical, dental, sick leave, vacation, etc. and see how that works out for you. Post back to this thread after you find your next job. |

UPS made a 2.5 Billion profits last year which was down 8% from the previous year. Drivers will average $170,000 per year at the end of the latest 5 year Union bargained contract. No union members to be laid off. This is more about apeasing the shareholders.

that wouldn't have been there if not for the plandemic! Have no fear, more jobs are coming back to the US than may be obvious. Boardrooms are getting shy of off-shoring over safety, security and overall geopolitical financial risks. Better to be in business than be overseas and get nationalized or gobbled up on the wrong side of a punch-up. |
