Just as an outsider looking in every now and again. It's quite obvious on what sector is the most insecure,  drama filled, unskilled, most pathetic bunch of so called "aviatiors" in the industry with how the posting goes on here.

congrats HEMS crowd, you take the entire cake for single handedly making yourselves look like clowns time and time again.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease and the pathetic sad sacks get your reaction.

Most HEMS guys, like most pilots, don't whine and b14ch all the time, much less waste time doing it here.

When you've got 30 years experience and want a stable job home every night or day, maybe you can retire to HEMS, kid.

"Retire" to EMS. Ha joke

Fly the same aircraft and have the same mechanic maintaining it. I've flown 3 different airframes from/to 3 different baes in the same day as a pool pilot.

Fly with the same crew.

10-30 minutes from home. Quicker and more complete local situational knowledge.

Sleep nights at work. Home every night/day, whatever.

No more half hour to 14 hour commutes and sleep in crappy pilot quarters.

Finally, my opinion- it ain't a job for new guys. The hardest thing in a pilot's life is turning down or abandoning a flight. WE ALL WANT TO FLY. Or we wouldn't be there.
