There should be physical barriers that prevent idiots from pulling onto an active runway for night operations.

Like, I wanna see a hydraulically operated blast wall like on aircraft carriers pop up on intersecting taxi way entry points that pops up automatically anytime an airborne lander is on final approach and landing is imminent.

This was so stupid.  Reminds me of Tenerife disaster.  THis could have been just as bad....they got lucky.....well all except for the coasties.

The person that complained about the op is a complete jerk.  His point was well made but not practical. The stop lights were instant not operational. Does not excuse the pilots actions but is an additional causal factor.  Airport surveillance radar is a cheaper and more practical fix.

I'm just an avionics tech with an imagination.  I think of fool proof solutions for foolish situations.  I can't help it if your 120kt brain can't keep up with my .9 mach ideas.  Maybe that's why you are all just helicopter pilots and not fixed wing.

Army says you only need a 2 year degree to fly whirly birds.  Air force says you need a 4 to fly anything.  Now I see why.

And btw, anything is practical if you are willing to build it to save even one life from the careless actions of a dumb pilot.

Keep crashing tards.

How many more barriers do we have to put in place to stop runway incursions? Inoperative equipment is no replacement for verbal approval to enter an active runway.

I’m really interested in seeing what the CVR in the Dash has to say.  The conversations in the cockpit will bring out the failures in the decision-making process.

As long as humans will fly. Imperfections will always arive. It will happen again and again. Meat Servos will never have a perfect record...Nor will AI for that matter. Doing fairly well in my little world I do believe. Perfect  safety record with any Vessel is never going to happen.
