Big supporter for the Union at PHI. We went bankrupt without one and it screwed all the mechanics pay!!!
The 7&7s only getting to work 4 days W/O off hitch is going to be a big reason why we'll get 20-30 more mechanics to jump on and fix this cluster F**K!!!

Ya a union is really going to fight for you to work more clearly something that rule that is real which it's not never heard of such thing. Is written for safety. Besides I rarely work more then 4 days on my off hitch I only have heard of 2 mechanics who do this often. It basically effects nobody

The IAM is the largest aerospace union in the country. We assign each group a full time bussiness rep, but yes the workers are the union. Your bussiness rep doesnt work there so you kind of have to tell him what you want. You nominate and elect your stewards and committee, your business rep does what they ask of him. We have United, American, hawaiian, jet blue, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, M1 support, Amentum, Vertex, PAE, etc etc. There is a reason we are the largest in aerospace and defense, we arent the union you order from wish.com. Yes we said you need to do this yourselves, and we will assist, no one is trying to sell you a bill of goods here. you either want the ability to negotiate with one of the mostb powerful labor organizations in the country sitting with your group, or you can keep getting bent over by the Helicopter Industry's "walmart"

Our contracts make news headlines, google "IAMAW Contract"

Ill tell you right now, we dont play with that 51% bs either, we dont have majority support, we drop your group and you can go right back to getting the big PHI shaft. We are a full service organization and it dont run on rainbows and gum drop smiles... We dont allow free loaders to leech off our membership. we will have a majority membership or you will not have a union, period. We arent here to coddle you, or tip toe around your feelers, you want to fix this sh$t$how? lets get it! You good with what you got? ok cool, thats a problem you gotta live with.

Try going to your CP/DO and negotiate your own salary, benefits and retirement and afterwards come back and tell us how successful you were. But first, have your unemployment strategy all worked out ahead of time. You're gonna need it.

Union Organizers are salary employees, often not seeong their families for weeks at a time. I'm a union organizer and most of our members actually make more than I do. This is something you have to believe in, its not for greedy people trying to get rich. There are no bonuses for winning a campaign, just the incentive to do a good job and maybe you'll be promoted one day. Me, i'm a heavy equipment operator by trade. I'm not college educated or a politician, it's actually a really hard job. Imagine having to deal with people you dont even know trashing you everyday because someone asked you if your organization would please help them. People like you for example... You put in hour and hours of your pernosal time, late nights, research, calls at all hours trying to help a company with garbage pay, retirement and some serious safety issues. not to mention a 50% turnover rate per year, offering big bonuses for new hires but running them off before they get it and pinching every nickel they can out of their exixting employees... just to be sh$t on. I know what ive done for the helicopter mechanics ive organized in Louisiana. Their first contract they saw a $7 an hour raise, our mech II's make more than your leads running 3 hangers in 3 different cities... Have a good day "anonymous" if you change your mind click here to request a card. PHI A-CARD REQUEST | Iamaw W2021 (iamawdlw2021.com)
