Forwarded message from ERHC.

Dear Members,

We are saddened to inform you, that Mike Renz has passed away.
A major supporter of the ERHC, Mike and his company - The Analar Corporation - was influential in starting the HAPP program; which he supported throughout his career.

The Analar Corp., has been operational for over 40 years, holding the longest standing Part 135 in the area.
Mike was truly a pioneer in the Northeast helicopter community, with over 40 years of aircraft maintenance, management and charter experience. His roots date back to when only Bell Jet Rangers were flying in NYC, and when Ramapoo Helicopters was the main maintenance facility in the area.

Known for his flight experience (both fixed wing and rotary) and extensive maintenance background; Mike was always a resource for many in the community.
With over 23,000 hours of logged helicopter flight time….everyone knew when the MT Helicopters were flying in the area and could hear Mike’s distinct voice.
His influence and guidance allowed many maintenance and helicopters pilots get their start. When in need, Mike was always there for people that needed help or guidance.

A friend to many, a loving Husband to Laurie and an incredible Father to Ashley Ann and Emily Elizabeth - Michael will always be remembered as a kind and thoughtful man.
If sending flowers, they can go to Queenship of Mary Church at 19 Dey Road, Plainsboro NJ on Wednesday January 3rd.

Memorial and Funeral services will be sent shortly.

You can be "in the industry" and not always be in a line pilot position. CPs, DOs, test pilots, etc aren't always flying but can still contribute to the industry. 23,0000 is a lot of flying in any aircraft, especially helicopters. Amazing that someone always has to pick apart another pilot's history. Even after he's passed.

statements plus or minus of the deceased but none usually of much to do.  Mike was a good man, hard worker, polite and helpful, honest and a credit to all.

Some of the best people I know in this industry , you probably will never see on the front page and am sure there are many great people that you know in this industry doing the good work, that we never hear about.

I too did not know Mike, but I do hope for many, including myself, try to follow his example.

Mike was the BEST. I have been friends with Mike a long time. If he said he was going to do something he found a way to get it done! Very influential in the Northeast helicopter industry!

pray for his family, also great people.

RIP my friend.

Mike started at DEC Air/Ramapo Helicopters in Spring Valley NY, then Analar in Princeton, NJ which he took over and made into one of largest operations in area, both flight ops and maint, with great reputation.

Mike worked hard to get things done!

ceases to amaze what negatives people come up with about the deceased.  There's no honor in any of it.  No one deserves it.  Think about his surviving family reading such drivel.
