Even if you spelled it correctly. Retired means a lot of things to a lot of people. Some do nothing but sit in front of a TV. Others do projects, some volunteer, and others do odd jobs because they are bored. Hell, I have been legitamately retired for 10 years. I get paid and everything. Yet, I still do work for people to get even more money and have fun doing it. The good part is I can stop whenever I want to. Life is what you make of it. Who are you to tell anyone what their retirement should look like. |

Id rather be a Christmas greeter at WalMart than go back to working on helicopters nowadays. Those days are over. |

Nope. Never worked for the yellow air force. Most old greaseballs will tell you they were happier making less money back then, than today making more money and having to put up with the endless and needless BS that comes with the job today. If it wasn't for the 1:1 schedule most mechanics would have found employment with the airlines or outside the industry all together |

I just retired as an A&P helicopter mechanic this year- I'd rather sell firewood or cut grass than go back to dealing with all that nonsense ever again. I spent the last several years in my career working in the Middle East so that everything I have is paid for and got plenty of coin drawing interest, it was miserable hell- I'm done son ! |
