All I know is that the MD600N was the worst Helicopter I have ever flown!

Dude I have been flying a long time with over 20,000 hours (Not bragging just the truth!). I was trained and checked out by a CBP Pilot with many years experience in the aircraft! Even he admitted it was junk!  It was my experience that the MD600N was a terrible aircraft! If you don't like it move on!

Didn't know how to operate the 600N at all. The mechanics fked up those machines By screwing with the blade pitch because they put a bunch of BS weight on them and the pilots were running out of collective. The 600 is a fine machine and if you had 20,000 hrs and you're still flying a light single then you're the problem.

Rumor is also HEC work and a power failure. Seems unlikely that there was skid work involved. The notar tail is too wide for comfort doing skid work.

Either way. Pilot was a good guy and experienced enough for the work.

Everything the CBP has pooed about on 600's is crap! There is no death spiral, there is no retreating blade stall.

CBP wanted a-stars (airbus) because they are more comfortable so they convinced the government that 600 was a death trap.

The 600 has limits like everything else. Fly it within those and it's just fine.
