Thanks

Metro is a behind MedTrans. Something to do with been based in Lousianna, and not really caring about what the rest of the country is doing. You will be low-balled at the interview by a recruiter who is only there to get you as cheap as possible, and you will never again interact with that person again. Tell them what you are worth and be willing to walk. In fact if you walk, they will call you before you get to the airport with an offer you cant refuse.

Good Luck.

I applied and in salary expectation block listed $11k less than I was making with MedTrans. Figured I'd make it up since if you don't take their health insurance they put it back in your salary and I wouldn't have to commute. HR sent me an email and advised salary I listed was above their starting pay and asked me to justify. I've never had a company engage in salary talks before an offer. I already came in with $11k under what I was making, that was as low as I'd go. Told them no thanks, was insulting they'd try and low ball somone that much.

They made an adjustment for the market last year, and since I negotiated when I started, I got nothing in the adjustment.  They will find a way to screw you.  They are among the lowest paying. They are banking on you wanting a certain location and pilot apathy for retention.

With Metro if you negotiate higher than what they offer, your pay will be frozen till the annual raises get you back to where they wanted you. You may not realise this until after the first annual raise and you get nothing. So be sure to clarify at your interview before signing a contract.

Denver one used to play games with a creepy little deputy slinking toward ya with a low ball offer scratched on a tiny piece of scrap paper below what initially offered.  It was 1950s smokestack hilarious, unethical, sleezy and insulting wrapped in to one.  Couldn't avoid sporting the incredulous look combined with sniggling laughter.  The little self absorbed troll couldn't handle it and never got over it.  He tried forever to get payback but was just so transparent and inept he never achieved his ego settling baloney.  And so goes that little squeak of time!

Don't waste your time trying to 'negotiate' unless you have notable experience and credentials and make sure to understand all involved with benefits, pay raise schedules etc.  Not happy, move on.

They have a FW position in Oregon that has a $124k base and a $60k adjustment.
