If the state floor is 15.50 you know LA SF and San Diego are a few dollars higher. Thats why we have $16 big macs in thise places. I just paid 6.79 for an egg mc muffin. Crazy, I remember they were on the 1$ menu in 2004 during college. That Is an avarage of 13% inflation over each of the last 19 years |

There is nowhere in the US that sells a big mac for $16. In fact there is nowhere in the US that sells a big mac meal for $16. A two minute search using the Mcdonalds app showed that I can order a Big Mac meal for $5.49 in LA, $6.69 in Boston , and $6.19 in Manhattan, NY. The meals are $10.19, $10.49, and $10.99.
Massachusetts has the most expensive Mcdonalds meals in the country including Alaska and Hawaii. That took an extra minute to find via google.
By the way, the dollar menu was a loss leader for the company because they knew you would spend more money when you came in for your egg mcmuffin.
You ask what's not to believe about it? Your post apparently. Granted it is more expensive than in 2004 but so is everything else. Why lie when you know the real information is just a few clicks away for anyone who wants to call you out? |

Those who voted for the stupidity, leave their state for other places thinking "if only we did this instead" and then try and implement their stupidity in other areas. |

There's a Hell of a lot of Kalifornia folks who have moved here within the past two years who now enjoy the #2 Sonic meal for still $9.50. |

I was raised and lived in CA for 40 years. The wage could be $50 hour and the populous areas would still be unaffordable.
There are thousands of ways the state takes from people and businesses making a once great place to live horrible |

Easy... CA has one of the highest state income taxes if not the highest. 7% sales tax but lots of cities add to that. Where I lived Cal-Fire added a 'protection fee' because I lived in a wild land area. BS... I lived in a neighborhood that was not in the city limits.
$1,900 registration fee for a diesel pickup and a 'luxury vehicle' fee because it costs more than $36,000 new.
I could keep going |
