There's like 73 people on the current seniority list with numbers high enough to have been here when the union was voted in, and of those 73, only 19 were actually in AMC that could have voted.  The rest of those were later added by acquisitions; they didn't vote in a union!

We have 1200+ pilots on the seniority list and maybe 19 got to vote, and likely, with a bare majority, many of those didn't vote FOR the union.

 I wrote my contract with my employer. I asked for a bunch of stuff. Passed a few things back. I make the money I wanted and the benefits they could offer. 
 We came to agreement in 3 days. Shame your union schills  can't pull off anything worth a damn in years.

 Well, it does happen all the time in utility. Typically the are called letter of agreement.  But a contract none the less.

 Simple things like per diem and flight pay  mins on airline travel day. Level of hotel I expect. who pays for Uber rides, baggage fees, etc. it's really simple stuff but important to guys that have those very issues be actual issues.

 There are at least two utility  operators I know that keep your hotel points. 180 days in a hotel, that adds up to a benefit I want for me.

How many other operators have several years of 4% raises guaranteed? None, that's how many. The timing of the bankruptcy is no coincidence, I'm sure but dragging this out at this time is a gamble I don't think we can afford to make. Be pragmatic by taking into consideration the whole situation and let's get this done. Holding out for crumbs could leave us with nothing.
