Mf you don't know they could have been waiting on a repair. Limited resources Limited people. Comparing one to the other is ridiculous gulf has unlimited resources. Air medical is probally 4 dudes who never really worked on them. If you work at phi airmedical complain so they can contract gulf guys to come up there and knock out the job next time

As a former GoMer turned hems I will say that of course gomers can do work more quickly, but that is not always the case. Your criticism does tell a lot about your experience though. You're one of those guys that watches everyone else do the big jobs. Perhaps the air medical side has a different certificate, and this the 12 mont is different. Perhaps they found some issues that needed to be fixed. After all, the point of an inspection is to actively try to find issues-not just initialing the form. Or perhaps they were waiting on parts. Did they find a frayed tail rotor control cable? Or is that something that YOU don't look at?  I feel bad for the pilots that have to fly what you have "worked on". Anyone worth their salt in this business knows that rushing maintenance has a negative effect on safety.
I worked for a company that wanted us to only do what was on the form, and not look for anything else. Not surprisingly they had an incident.

If this is a ems 76 you are complaining about, it's gonna take a week just to remove all the extra ems crap in the baggage area.

Then an extra 2 weeks to remember and figure out how it all goes back in again.

The gulf 76's are bad enough, I wouldn't wish a ems equipped 76 on my worst enemy.

Your fault for not sending that thing down to the main hangar in laffy and demand they do the major inspections that will put it down for the least amount of time.....corrosion and all.

If you expect your ems mechs to do a major like that, then you are asking a whole lot of them.

Something that huge should never be expected of a remote mech with limited resources and limited knowledge.  you are asking, no begging  for trouble.

Depot level mx should happen at the Depot, that's how the military does it, that's how the airlines do it.  Or at least before the airlines found out they could just fly it down to Mexico and have one guy a and p sign all the work done by 50 mexicans under him.  Is that what you want?  Cuz that's what you gonna get.  Send that thing to laffy.  They built it up, they can do the work.
