I'm assuming they mean it shed a fenestron blade.....you don't survive a loss of a main rotor blade at altitude.

a main rotor blade with any appreciable Nr and you'll instantly notice your head positioned about 5" out of center with the spine.

It was a setup. That crew never did pre-flights so we took a blade to see if it would be noticed. It really backfired. Yikes!
