maybe True but based on recent increases  in the industry for those that prefer helicopter ops, but the incentive  to grow and maintain Pilot population.  it's a long term play for bean counters.  I don't think  many will jump ship over $15k In the short term, but it may influence the long term commitment and morale of many that may not be willing to do more than bare minimum, which if you ask most Pilots, they have already settled in to just collecting pay check.

in the passenger seat and not have that responsibility....YOU can actually enjoy your 7 off and shut off your phone and in most companies (like PHI) the pilots make more than the managers...Not worth the Internal politics thrown at you as a manager by Program managers, Clinician base managers etc questioning you as a HAA manager...plus getting called at 1am-3am in the am whether you are on call or not, you have to answer that call....id rather be in the pilot seat and just go to work, fly the line, or not and get paid....turn my phone off after 7 days....

When there is no reward for doing more than the minimum, then why would you?  I don't think any of the operators offer any incentive for doing more than the minimum.

Dummy.  So basically you get a $15k stipend a year that's it.  Not $50k true sign on bonus.
