Med Trans requires a landing anytime you suspect a bird strike. You cannot take off again till mechanic inspects aircraft and does a logbook entry with return to service.

As a mechanic on call, I remember several. Called at 11pm or so, at some remote pad 2 hours up the road. Saw one of the prettiest sunrises ever while looking for feathers.

Hawk hit air intake.  Was in Bravo.  Told tower i had a bird strike and making precationary landing. Told the station the same thing.  Landed in a field, went to idle.  Got out and could see blood on the cowling.  Everything looked good.  Did hover checks.  Everything felt fine.  Flew about 6 miles back to the airport.  Shutdown.  Spent the next two hours washing bird guts out of the rotorhead/Starflex where it ended up after hitting the air intake cowling.

The fact that you took off again without a mechanic on scene would get you fired at most HAA companies today. Must now wait for a mechanic to sign logbook for return to service after bird strike.
