I flew 1368x a long time ago.   Still had the original gages.  As I remember, it had a factory push tube that pulled out of the vertical stab for ground handling.    Fond memories with that A/C

I remember 206 A/B that flew for Conoco at Grand isle had 26,000 + hours. We also had L models in that range.

The news outfit out of Marshville NC had some really old ones. They lost most of their contracts to Heli Inc and the owner snorted all the profit away and ran it in the ground.  Early 70's B models mostly. The stories you hear on that bunch are unbelievabl.

U.S. was a good place to work for in the early years.   C.H. took care of his pilots.    The later years after his passing, don't know.

It is N1368X, SN 007.  She's in my fleet.  Still young at 13,800 hours, currently getting some new avionics in her.  Flues all the time.

There are still a lot of Sherrif offices flying old military OH-58A's, C's, TH-57/67 still today. Almost all were produced in 1968-1973.

Look it up. The OH-58A was a B206A (but later had some beefed up and added components). The OH-58C was a 206B. The OH-58D had similar rotor head, xmsn, blades, and engine to the Bell 407 (but maintained the 206B body).

OH-58 is not a 206. Different transmission (slower MR RPM), different MR head (yoke angle different), different MR blades (longer), different tail boom (longer), and different VNE (slower).

nailed it.  Flew OH in 72-73 after active duty while in NG, and both A and B model 206 '73 on to '82.  Last B only once in '86.  Most fun G-AVII and hooded touch down autos at Redhill with the Australian TC.  Good fellow. Reliable pocket rocket.
