All these professional helicopter pilots, yet no discussion of the current Canadian fires/smoke & its impacts on our operations, visibility, performance, our health, patient health(HAA), and how to safely persevere despite the challenges...
And Epstein didn't kill himself.
And the AMC union is useless. |

Compressor washes? What are those, are maintenance staff has no time for such things. The full-time, non-on-call mechanics have to be out the door at 3 hours. That time includes time to make and eat breakfast. No time to due or supervise maintenance as I have to get to my 11 am tee time an hour away. Oh, that mainenance supervisor is soooo busy. |

You've obviously never worked on a fire before. Go back to flight web and discuss your concerns with the flight medic and call the chief pilot. I'll be amused as to what his take on it is at the next sit down. |

If it's reporting below VFR and you're IFR capable, file IFR and blast off. If it's reporting less than your comfortable with and you're VFR only, decline requests until it improves. What else is there to talk about? We've been flying in it for the last few weeks or whatever and have not had any issues. Midwest USA. |
