I hear from other base pilots that the Med crew are Not crew members. But at Indoc they said they WERE. I usually trust the guys in the arena but not sure what to think. Thoughts?

They are there to perform medical crew member duties, not flight duties. They are crew members just not flight crew members.

It really doesn't matter what you call them. They are so concerned about everything else but their jobs. Toxic people that you should avoid. If they would put a little more effort into their chosen medical profession, maybe they would not kill as many patients as they do because of their lack of skill.

Regardless of what the Medical people choose to call themselves or what they identify as their role.  The only thing that should matter to the person behind the control of an aircraft from the beginning of starting the engine('s) until the time the rotors stop is, who can the FAA or any Lawyer, impose any action agains (that's you).  Move forward with this reality always in your mind.  Treat you coworker's with respect and know they also have skin in the game.  Be a professional and never lose the confidence of the people who trust you with their lives.

My thought is you are trolling to stir up a days long thread with an issue that is long been settled yet always boils the JH inhabitants needlessly.

 How's that for thinking?

You are the Captain of the Titanic. No matter how much pressure the White Star Line puts on you to make your best time to NYC, if you hit an iceberg, it's your fault.

Your certificate imbues you with Command, the moral and legal responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel. It is your responsibility to refuse illegal, unwise, or unsafe orders. Safe operation does not consider profit, that is your job not your responsibility, two completely different concepts.

If you lose your job, your certificate will get you another. If you lose your certificate, you will be looking for a job in another profession. That's the FAA's perspective, anyway.

are medical crew members this have no official Federal standing, like an aviation informed passenger.  Treat them reasonably and with courtesy and life will be as good as it gets in HAA.  If on says they will ant to turn around/abort for whatever reason just do it.  They'll wear the reason when questions arise, just refer to them.  Do not become their shield and wear their decisions as your own.
