Looks like the 214 that came through anchorage mid nineties after logging on Kenai peninsula 

it was beat up pretty good 

I've owned them and flown them - operated properly the 214 is an awesome platform but greedy logging prevailed

Exactly. 214 was good, just the greed got to it. Enjoyed my time in them greatly.

I never flew one and heard that if you kept them within weight limits, no overweight snatches and all, that they were a good machine.

Unfortunately, in the logging world, it's all about speed and lbs. so if you can get her movin, she's gonna go. The 14 was just not good at holding up to all of the overweight loads. Lots of good guys in those days got to experience the pros and cons of this machine.

The B412 was so much better with the heavy lifts as long as you were below 6k' MSL.

You mean 214 and not 412.....the 412 was never a good lifter.
