I was there for the winter of 2012 or 2013 for the fracking oil boom, had a Jet Ranger doing fast deliveries--never really took off.

It is COLD....one day I saw -50f, then add the wind chill. There is a couple casinos, one has good food, also coupe strip clubs--may not be there now after the oil industry moved out.

If you go, pack a good jacket and try not get bored.......

Devils Lake is 15% as well. As of last October neither base had a pilot apartment, which means you sleep at the base. Not an ideal situation to say the least. Looking at the pilot schedule online they both appear to be working 14 day shifts in a row, then 14 night shifts. Also I apologize to the masses for posting relevant information on Just Helicopters. I don't know what came over me.
