I just don't get it. 20+ years in EMS with 2 vendors and I love my job. I look forward to working with almost every medical professional at my base. I treat them with respect, I am proactive in base chores, we take turns cooking meals. I help them with bags and lifting patients and they help me wash the aircraft. We gather regularly for drinks on our off days.
If you are miserable at every EMS job you've had, my guess is that you're the problem. |

I did HAA line flying for 17 years then did 10 as a check aian. I can count on one hand the number of med CC crew I ever had a real problem. It would take both hands amd feet to count the number of pilots I saw causing trouble with med folks. Most of it was due to overactive ego. |

Good pilots who get the job done and keep the hospital happy will be kept over a poor med crew. Now, lazy pilots will be out in a heartbeat. |

I've disliked far more pilots at other bases than med crew. We got a couple of hot blondes and laid back dudes. Comments like "you think you run your aircraft but you dont" who cares. Accept the flight, type it in your GPS, come back and watch a movie. You take this job way too seriously. |

Couldn't be further from the truth. I've worked a 3 different bases. The middle was was so toxic I left EMS for 5 years vowing never to return. I'm a loser, I returned but have a great crew I work with at the moment. |
