If you have one foot stuck in the past, use / keep both paper & electronic.

Not everything is a binary choice.  Except for your gender.

I'm an OG, and thought I'd hate it, but once I got used to it, I'd never go back.

Both. Paper never crashes or require new battery- and it provides better perspective on surrounding area, as far as you want to see.

At least a VFR Sectional of your area(s). I've had iPad crap out on me and needed it once before. I always keep a printout of a few emergency approaches in my kneeboard just in case. Print new ones every year.

Efb is great, everything you need at the touch of a finger. Most companies require you to have a backup ipad as well so not a big deal if it craps out although I've been flying with ipads and foreflight for 10 years and never had one quit on me. Ditch the paper!

Use a cell phone or carry a pager.

out with the old in with the new.  In the current world having access to the most up to date info is important in my mind.  Being able to toggle back and forth between different types of charts (VFR and IFR) along with approach plates if needed is really good.  Took me a while to get comfortable with the EFB... wont go back to paper.

Not to mention up to date TFR's and NOTAMS that pop up as soon as you select an airport. If you have to divert or have another change of destination inflight, you are covered. I'm 60 years old and have been flying since 1983, I carry some back up paper but the more I use the iPad the less I reference them.
