Well. With dozens of ads for airline pilots finding thier we to my inbox I finally took the bait and embarked on a Quwest to try to get hired by an airline. My quails are 15,000 hours in trubine helicopters, plenty of work part 135, annual. Refresher CRM training annually, no. FAA incidents in 30 years.. a couple of seasons in a multi pilot helicopter. I have no ATP nor insturment rating. So, tonight resumes are going out to Envoy, Skywest, United. |

Nobody airline really gives a crap about most of what you said. Here's what they do care about. Without 250 hours and some multi time, your 15,000 hours may as well be 15 million. For rotor/power lift pilots, what fixed-wing hours are needed to qualify for R-ATP?

to qualify for the rotor thing, you’ll still need to have 250 hours of airplane time and 50 multi. maybe they’ll make an exception because of your annual CRM training but I wouldn’t go shopping for one of them custom made roller bags just yet. also from the envoy website: “Please note that we are not accepting RTP candidates at this time” |
