what is the outlook for this fire season as to severity of fires and level of activity?

Type 2 modified CWN/Excl bids are due on Monday I believe, prob going to be a couple weeks for awards. As far as predicting what kind of season it's going to be....anybodies guess. I'd say slow start due to good precip in most places but running later. Of course if it gets hot in Cali it won't take long to dry some of the fuels. And never under estimate the FS doing burns that get out of hand.... |

In short;
Type 1: heavy helicopters (Kmax, S61, Puma, Crane, Chinook, etc)
Type 2: medium helicopters (Bell 205, 212, H models, 210, eagle single)
Type 3: light helicopters (Astar, 407, 206, etc)
