Pilots wil always make more than the mechanics and they should. It's just the way it is. 

Pilots are like the skill players in the NFL....your not gonna pay the starting guard more than the QB or star running back.

Actually I don't need to.

I played video games as a kid.  Actually any kid who's played video games can fly a Helicopter.  Being a pilot takes zero skills.  I took off and landed both the 92 and 76 flight sims over at flight safety  in WPB on the very first try.  Never even sat in a sim before.  Landed that sucker on the helideck of the rig even.

And I'm just an avionics tech.
