Striking allover and country and winning. Heli pilots are lil chicken hearts with little self respect. 109 doing nothing for their members.

They are having professional meetings and demanding better pay.

American Airlines top Captain is now making 509K a year.  That's with a 12-15% a month match for retirement .

Just think about that.

It's not a 12 - 15% match. It's a direct contribution at no cost to you equal to 12 - 15% of your earnings.

Sorry guys, I just don't want to have a second level of management that really doesn't have my wellfare in sight.  If you're a lazy whinner (SP) unions are great.  If you like to do a good job and be recognized for your work you don't like unions.

I wouldn't worry man. I just don't see helicopter industry professionals ever developing the solidarity required to effectively organize - at least not to the level of effectiveness enjoyed by ALPA or other similar organizations. I remember talking to a PHI pilot, while waiting for my med people to gey back to the pad so we could go home. This guy actually bragged about how he and several of his coworkers helped "break the strike" at PHI when there was a work action by the pilots there. I asked him if he meant he crossed a picket and flew struck work, to which he replied in the affirmative and was actually proud to have done so. Then he went on and on about his investments and how wealthy he was becoming. I know nothing about how unions work in the helicopter industry, as I was working for a non-union company at the time. And this guy is only one example. I'm not going to judge an entire group on the dooshiness of this one individual. There are anti-union guys and gals out there who are decent people, and they undoubtedly have their reasons. I'm just saying with guys like this out there, who are straight up PROUD of crossing the line and flying struck work, the helicopter industry will NEVER effectively organize their labor.
