Gotta be several "or else clauses", paid in increments over 5 or 10 years. One complaint and all void. |

One thing about PHI, they don't lie. They may treat you poorly but they don't lie. It's probably half after training and the other half I don't know. |

No actually you don't get the 3%. Ever since the bankruptcy the 401 became "DISCRETIONARY" based on the financial performance of the company. If the goals are not met you get zero. Like last year. If the goals are met you can receive up to the 3% so long as you are putting in your part. Very poor plan. |

I'm pretty sure the first 3% is guaranteed. It's the second 3% that is discretionary. |

No that is not correct. Last stakeholder call or tow DM specifically said what I relayed. It is certainly not going to be up to 6%. Infact, as long as I can remember it's only been 3% when it used to be managed well, before bankruptc. |

Suggs is laughing at you all from hell.
Even with a pilot shortage PHI pilots are getting paid significantly less than Bristow/Era, only 3% 401k, expensive health benefits, trying to force training contracts all while living in a single wide trailer in Houma... the kind of things you'd expect when Suggs knew supply > demand. Now the market has reversed and you chumps still show up for scraps. |

Better question to ask is, why is there high turnover and why do they have to pay extra to get people to come and work there. |

No doubt the companies paying large sign-on bonuses are the ones that have a large turnover. Perhaps investing more in their current employees by increasing salaries, upgrading housing, increase 401k...etc. May reduce turnover rates, increase morale, and attract pilots wanting the same. Start showing loyalty to their current personnel busting their behinds to safely generate revenue... |

That sounds like a great idea and would no doubt work, however, they don't care to do that. Not one manager will call and talk to you and ask why you are leaving and what they can do to keep you. |

Correct. I don't recall a raise last year. As for the 401. It is now "Discretionary" and is based on the financial performance of the company. If the financial goals are not met you get nothing. If the goals are met then it is possible to be paid up to the 3% so long as you are putting in your part. Last time it was paid out I only got a little over 2k and I was putting in 12%. We got zero this time and it will likely be the same next time. Good news is though you can make a killing on over-time and emergency operations bonuses. |

Employer match is 50% up to 6% and the additional 50% is discretionary match subject to company performance. You should have an employer contribution each pay check and a lump sum if discretionary targets met |
