Do HAA companies have max age limits for hiring pilots?

Actually it is not legal for any HAA company to set a maximum age limit.  As long as you pass the physical you must be allowed to fly. I know that AMC has a CBA that specifies 70 as the limit. As soon as someone challenges that in court it will be gone.

...it for you. I proved you are just BS! The requirement is based on arbitrary criteria clearly making it discrimination. the fact there are two classes of pilot's currently authorized under the union's contract (before cba , after cba) makes it not an age criteria based on safety, but on an arbitrary basis. Hence, clearly age discrimination! and since there isn't any FAA restrictions on age, the arbitrary requirement has no sensible foundation.

So, it's ok for them to vote in other discriminatory measures, such as:

No Caucasian Pilots!

No Christian Pilots!

No Republican Pilots!

No Irish Pilots!

Must be OK if the members voted for it!

go on to fly 135, so BOOM, there goes your arguement!

And, you'd think you're Union for stand up for you (after paying them all those dues)!

If there is a problem with age, then don't discriminate between 70 year olds who were hired before the new contract, and those who were hired afterwards, if you're making the arguement for SAFETY!

I was let go when I turned 65 and was told out right by the CP it was for age. I sued, got my job back with back pay. I can give you my lawyers name if you need him. There is no age limit for part 135.

When the nurse/medic crew refuse to fly with...it might be time to retire...not age related.

Yeah, like so fat the helicopter won't fly. Ridiculous. They advertise a max for pilots but medics and nurses are pigs and over gross the aircraft. Med crews are why I quit.
