The industry goes from fully coupled S-76s as the coveted aircraft to VFR nonsense with a big fancy display. HAA is such a joke.

and does the job. you sure don't need a 76 for 99% of EMS flights. waste of money.

probably less than 1% of this industry uses them period.....long distance hauling maybe, but think you moron...i flew one for years...and had to abort maybe LZ's on scenes that were too small to land on or small rurual hospital pads that were too small.....407 is a good frame for what we do...at least they are spending the $$$$ on new aircraft and NOT the old crap that PHI or AMC flies that are close to 25yrs old and 30,000hrs

HAA is a joke for many more reasons then the aircraft being flown. How did you settle on the S-76 issue?

btw.. it's money spent vs money earned for owners. S-76 is more expensive to support than a 407 at every turn.

My 407 is cheaper. I'm a business wiz. I support the man. Meanwhile, there's some old guy walking to the back of his 92, so he can pee in private. Making about $200k a year with alt hold on.

I once flew with a guy who decided to take a nap in the cabin on a dead head leg. If you can tell me where, I'll give you your $10 back.

the same guy that somehow managed to get into the back seat of a 76 while flying to take a nap is the same guy that puts the "altitude hold" on and walks through the cabin in a 92 to take a leak. lol

Sikorsky will be discontinuing support for the S-76 soon. At least the older ones.
As someone replied, 99% of the flights are VFR so an S-76 is overkill.
BTW, the 407 is a fine machine, climbs all day goes long distances and reliable. just not much room for patient care.
