Everything is 'full down' if you wait long enough.

you sure about that? An ENTIRE company was abo a single helicopter and crashed it? Could it more correctly be discribed as one pilot and one instructor aboard a helicopter belonging to Med-Trans had a crash with the pilot at the controls to be later identif?

ok, slow it down for me.    Did the MEDTRANS company crash a helicopter yesterday, or some individuals aboard a helicopter have some issues?  Thx for clarity.

I'm confused, during my time at Med-Trans we NEVER did full down autos.  It was always a termination with power.  We wrapped the throttle to max during the decel.  When did that change?  At PHI Air Medical we did full downs every year during recurrent training, but never with anyone else I worked for.

Surprised there was no crew onboard - since that's their SOP when practinging "autos" locally. DUMBEST  policy I've ever heard of.

It's so the medical aircrew can assist the pilot at all times. Direct the checklist steps, monitor pilot performance, notify OCC, etc.

"Monitor pilot performance" LMAO

A joke, but also a serious industry-wide problem.
