As an HAA pilot, who do you serve? Everyone serves someone. Med crew to patient. Manager to his employees, etc etc. 

I think it's pretty clear. Serve your medical crew. Serve us hard. 

about just being a passenger but try to get past it.

Im a pilot. And I have no ego problem with realizing I don't do anything for a patient. I facilitate their care by accommodating the Med crews requests, whenever possible. Therefore the customer is the crew. 

why WOULD you think you do anything for the patient other than take them where somebody wants them. since you work with the crew, not for the crew, I would say that makes the patient the customer. The patient is also paying the bill, which makes the whole thing go, but have a ball. is this your first day on earth.

well if we all serve the med crew, why am I buying all these pizzas?

You must be the best pilot at your base, maybe even the whole state. 

Can we be professional here? And put this to rest with some facts and not feelings or opinions?

Fact FAR part 1.1. "Crewmember means a person assigned to perform duty in an aircraft during flight time."

Some of you don't like that reference so here is another reference all of us should be familiar with. 

Fact. AC 135-14B Paragraph 1.6. dd. "Medical Crewmembers. Also referred to as medical flight personnel, as opposed to flightcrew members. A medical crewmember (medical personnel) is an individual with medical training, carried aboard a HAA during flights or flight segments. Crewmembers typically include: flight nurses, paramedics, respiratory specialists, neonatal specialist and other medically-trained specialists. (Refer to § 135.601(b)(2).)"

So they are crewmembers, just medical crewmembers. Not flight crewmember, not glorified flight attendant, not passenger , not self loading baggage.  

No wonder we are the laughing stock of the aviation community. 

And they're the pilots customers 

You buy pizza as a cheap way to keep the peace. Like lollipops for children. It's temporary peace, so you do funny little stunts like that often. Raise their pay and stop micromanaging. Decentralize the operation. You'll see better results. But you can't and won't.

Haa managers don't have legitimate schooling. They learn as they go then lose the cultural knowledge they gain every few years.
