What is the deal with all the openings from HAA, to utility, to the Golf of Mexico.
People are applying and no call backs.
Quit posting jobs if you are not hiring.
Jsfirm, just helicopter pilot jobs, quit recycling job post....jeez...you would think we have a shortage of qualified pilots. |

That would be true if in this industry we did not see terrible pilots being picked up left and right.
The problem is HR, people not knowing what they are looking at. |

Well, in years past you were right.
Today- HR has right at your resume before a Chief Pilot can look at it. |

if a company is big enough to have an HR department, your resume may go there first to see if you meet the requirements. large companies that do more than aviation have a process and that goes for every department in the company. as far as the actual hiring, hell no. pilots hire the pilots, not HR. |

Maybe the point isn't to actually be looking for applicants, but rather justifying the expense, get my drift? -just my opinion. |

overtime available everywhere and lots of open shifts which means lots of lost $$$ in EMS. Can't speak for the rest of the world but have you noticed all the help wanted signs. |

If You are not getting responses and call backs, have a professional pilot look over your resume.
Often times operators take a while to sort through applicants. The process usually sees more than one desk and the desks your applications land on are at times, being used for other duties as well. Be patien.
If you know someone employed by the operator, send them a copy of your resume. Often times there are referral bonuses as it is better to hire a known...and the response is usually faster as you are now at the top of the list. Win win. |
