The EMTS at Boston MedFlight are unionizing under the Teamsters. That just leaves the pilots not unionized. Unions dont come in when thinsg are good...

are far less volatile than your imagination seems to be pointing to and for the small population of helicopter pilots far more worthwhile.  

I prefer to think of us as rugged A-type independent individuals ready to take on the world, travel it, etc. but when it comes to pay and benefits it takes a collective effort to assure a company comes through.

Divided we fall, united we win.

In some sense it all sucks, but, our work is business, not personal and not fantasy.

I can't believe this post was deleted. Truth hurts I guess. There is a reason that BMF has such a high turn over rate for pilots. Why is that statement delete worthy?

MX are not union and also grossly understaffed. They (management) will never admit or figure they are the problem.

Management already trying to pit the unions against each other and deny raises to the EMTs "your unioninizng cant get a raise".

The highest EMT pay in the state, top 10 in the US health benefits, great 401K, brand new equipment and they get to dress like the cool kids in flight suits. Power to the oppressed worker!! Give me a break!
