Picked up an EV thinking I could save on fuel. Not so. It cost more to charge when you factor in the cost of charger installation at home etc. Then there is the stress of finding a charger on long trips. Also my vehicle cant be charged to 100% because manufactures recommends >88% does damage to battery long term. Should have stayed in my gas guzzler. |

most companies will not let you use your personal vehicle if more than 100 miles. electric cars are also a long way from being able to take long trips. thanks for the bs story though, pool pilot |

Flew HEMS for years. Not a bad job. But NOT something I'd regularly commute for. If I was commuting, it was for workover pay, and I was getting a rental or significant mileage reimbursement. |

My next is going to be a plug in Hybrid. Like the RAV4 or Lexus NX Get 50 miles on a charge. Which is like 99.9 percent of my driving. If I need to go long distance. Just get some gas |

I commute 110 miles to my base in my EV and stay in the off-duty housing for my work week. AMC installed a charger for my EV at my base. Some other crew members drive Teslas and also use the EV charger. Everyone is happy. |
