Standard schedule is one (1) day off for each day scheduled.
That is not being threatened. |

we all work 7/7. If the company wants to go to 14/14, it would reduce travel costs significantly. As a pool guy, I would really hate to go to 14's. Now do you understand? |

our rights for the pilot's at each base to decide their schedule. That was under trusteeship, when they gave away lots of contractual "rights". We had it great schedule, all pilots at the base loved it. Then, then the man who wasn't a pilot in our union, nor ever a pilot flying HAA/HEMS, decided it was better for us to have the company decide our schedule and start times.
IMAGINE how much better it was before the union F**ked it up for us to decide our own "what's best for us" schedule.
I'd go back to a 14 and 14 in a heartbeat! It was a great schedule! |

One day off for each scheduled day. That's the "standard" schedule regardless of how it works out!
More than half of the pilots at the company are doing a 4/3 schedule now, not 7/7!
How about we go back to the contractual "standard" the union gave away and let the the pilots at each base decide what schedule they want and what days they want to do it! |

7/7 under current agreement and policy (status quo) is meaning you either work a 4 days 3 nights or 3 days 4 nights split for a 7-on/7-off schedule.
it's hard for you to argue or be taken seriously when you clearly don't even understand the subject matter or the facts |

The only thing the union did was not let any grievances go past them from members who took issue that the CBA was (and still is) being violated.
Members voted for a CBA with specific language in it, so it's not up the a few interlopers to change the CBA with a LOA without the member's consent! Why have a CBA if immediately after it is voted on and ratified one or two guys in the union can change it on their own?
Current CBA has the standard schedule of one-for-one, not 7 and 7. You can't "protect" what you don't currently own! |

Every schedule has pros and cons, for both parties. It would be nice if we could get a 14/14 option especially for pool pilots. But a 7/7 can work as well. If I'm close I prefer 7 days on, 7 off, then 7 nights, gives full,7 off. But thats just a preference. Others prefer 4/3, 3/4 rotation with 7 off, which to me means fewer days off. I'm ok with democratic solutions. |

Where does 7 and 7 come from as a standard. It's just an example, however, AMC has decided that's the standard. I prefer 3 days, 3 nights, and 6 off. Holidays and such then rotate vs getting screwed for years on the 7 and 7. |

The split 3/4, 4/3 schedule give two guy's great weekend schedules when working, the other two are stuck with not so good weekend schedules.
the 6/6 fixes that because everyone gets equal work treatment over time! |
