Was announced that Med Trans will no longer be providing the extra work over incentive pay. For work over shifts it will now be the standard time and one half.
it did last longer than intended for all of last year.
My question is what are other HAA companise offering for over time incentive and do you think it will continue and for how much longer.

Do to the number of open shifts Metro Aviation has been offering and still is paying double time for work over shifts. MTC was paying time and a half plus 300.00 per shift. They, both companies also provided travel, hotel, and per diem as usual.

Bases had to be relatively hard to fill, or be short a pilot to get the $150. Looks like we're still on par for the lowest paid. |

So many whiners here. If PHI, MT?? and all the others are so bad why do people keep applying and working for these guys. Walmart, Target, HEB, and many other employers are hurting. Why not just leave the business and do somthing else? |

Not sure if you really want an answer but I'm bored sitting here OOS for no crew so I'll give you an answer.
When I started in HEMS I did a year with AMC and it was ok, but micromanaged. Everyone local was great, everyone above a RAM/RAD was not the best. I went to PHI and literally every part of the job was better. Maintenance, aircraft, pay, benefits, training, no union dues, closer to home, etc... I was very happy.
Then we missed a step raise, then we missed another one. Then they rolled out 360 and started losing crew left and right. Then we lost mechanics, then we missed another step raise. There was a chapter 11 bankruptcy somewhere in there too.
Things used to be different here, I have to imagine that's why a lot of us are here. Why are we still here? Seniority, likely. Get the base you want and it's hard to leave. Why do new people join up and fill slots nowadays? I honestly don't know.
Fingers crossed they find a buyer this year and we can join the rest of the operators being paid in line with demand. |

I'm going to call the RAM and ask him if and other HAA companies pay an overtime premium and how long they plan on doing it. |

AMC extended theirs last week till March 31st. Still $250 a shift. Would imagine this might be the last time. To all the people being ducks asking "why do you care" and "you're not a pilot," stfu freaking male Karens |
