Just wondering if any programs provided any guidance to pilots on whether to stay home the last 24 hours. It seems here in Ohio the expectation is to risk your life driving in Level 3 conditions to sit at a base with zero chance of flying. |

It's your responsibility to show up for work, not your boss. You could have left earlier to get to work, after all as a pilot you should be able to utilize a weather forecast to get from point A to point B. |

Our boss tells us to stay home if the weather is not flyable. But make sure we are logged in so we still get paid. |

I hope those words are not on your headstone. Sometimes, the best decision is NOT TO GO at all.
Almost any 150 hour commercial pilot can complete 99.9% of the landings required. An HEMS pilot is paid to know what, where, when and how to complete a request or turn it down. Turning it down is the hardest call to make. |

Maybe a little off topic from the OP, but if you need a boss,a manual,a SMS, a commanding officer,a chief pilot,a check airman, a nurse,a mechanic,an IP,or a crew chief to tell you to be safe or how to be safe or not to take chances you are in deep DoDo. |
