the job would be about 30% not getting taken hostage, 30% staying alive, 30% staying able to pass a flight physical, 8% commuting, and 2% flying. don't know what it pays, but it ain't enough. |

If you can't interact with locals effectively and enjoy the environment don't even contemplate heading to Africa. |

Sucks that a guy can't come to a helicopter forum to ask a legit question but get 10 useless answers. |

never come here looking for answers, you will get trolllolololols all day though.
FB has many groups, Reddit has subs
Here? this place is dead and just doesn't know it...
I come on once in a blue moon for laughs, but ultimately its a sad place where keyboard cowboy trolls come to complain about useless stuff, and every pilot is the best and those claiming best will look down upon you and your strife and laugh
in other words, a GOP hellscape ready to troll anti-intellectualism..
enjoy |

this has one. Remember you have to live where you work. If you've never worked in Africa you might want to pay a visit before you sign a contract. Definitely not a joke. |

Well I wouldn't count on it being a DOD contract. All of the recent solicitations are pretty clear, the DOD does not want to see the legacy aircraft that were flying in Afghanistan any more. Maybe UN contracts. With the war in Ukraine the Mi's might be getting hard to support. I can't imagine those contracts would pay enough to make working there worth it. All speculation of course. |
